Growing Within PEARL
What growing traits do we want to see in our young women?
We have a core belief that every woman is special, beautiful, and valuable no matter what she believes or what society tells her. There is no way around it. Every young woman is more precious than anything that money could buy. They hold, within themselves, riches untold. However, we realize that it takes time, commitment, maturity, and community for all women to realize and live as if they are as prized as they truly are.
It is because of this reason that we recognize our young women at each level or their maturity. As we walk this journey of life with each PEARL, it is our desire that the girls who initially join the program develop into competent women who love God, serve mankind, and lead the program. We understand that no one is perfect, but we strive to recognize the transformations that take place in our young ladies lives and have developed four levels of development within our program.
Every young lady that consistently comes to the PEARL program at the YMEN center is a part of the PEARL organization. However, as student develops within the organization, her rank, responsibilities, and opportunities also grow.
We want our ladies to demonstrate…
- Growth in Education
- Growth in Attitude
- Growth in Relationships
- Growth in Service & Leadership
It is our desire that no PEARL be satisfied with…
- Being mediocre
- Having A Sense of Entitlement
- Never mentoring a younger lady or giving back to the community
- Being treated like anything less than a queen
